Furniture removal. Out of the building, onto a note.

Desks, chairs, sofas, mattresses, cabinets and whole office fit-outs. We take it out, reuse what can be reused, and put the rest with a licensed carrier. You get the transfer note.

The desk is at the depot in Ayr. Regency’s own crews are used where that is the right job. Everything else goes to a licensed carrier for that stream.

How a job moves

  1. 1. The listWhat is going, which floor, and whether there is a lift. Photos are enough for most jobs.
  2. 2. The priceA fixed price and a date. Out of hours if the office is working.
  3. 3. The removalCarried out, loaded and cleared. Anything you want kept is left where you say.
  4. 4. The noteThe transfer note comes back, with what was reused and what was disposed of.

Reuse first

A lot of office furniture is still good. Where it is, we look for reuse before recycling, and recycling before disposal. Usable items can go to charities and reuse schemes. Metal, timber and plastics are separated for recycling.

Sofas and upholstered seating

Upholstered domestic seating, such as sofas, armchairs and seat cushions, can contain persistent organic pollutants (POPs) from old fire retardants. It must not go to landfill. It has to be kept separate and sent for incineration. We collect it separately and send it to a route licensed for it, so it does not end up in the general skip.

Who it is for

Offices moving or refitting. Landlords and letting agents between tenancies. Hotels, care homes and student accommodation replacing rooms. Councils and housing associations clearing void properties. Executors and families clearing a house. If the whole property needs clearing and cleaning, Regency’s house and property clearance service does both on one job.
